Pause the prettiness...

Time to talk about shovelling and wheelbarrowing!

This is the back of the van full of over 30 bags of sawdust and chippings from Helen's brother Jonny (a cabinet maker) which we use on our paths between our annuals. It protects the soil from the worst of the compaction (from up and downing picking the flowers) and over the year it rots down to produce a lovely mulch which we can then shovel onto the beds whilst re-coating the paths with fresh sawdust to continue the cycle. And it's FREE!

Thanks Jonny!
